Our President's Priorities

I am saddened by one of the blogs that I follow for her crafts has a post titled Feeling Hopeful with a picture of her baby in a onesie with Obama's picture on it. I have said before that I don't plan for this blog to be political but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. It seems that our new president isn't as concerned about our economy as he says he is. While companies are laying off thousands of people his first priority was not to do something to bolster the economy but to over-turn something that would keep our AMERICAN tax dollars from funding abortions overseas. After granting a 24-hour stay on the execution of the unborn, President Obama delivered today on his promise of taxpayer-funded promotion of abortion. This afternoon, the new administration inked the order overturning the "Mexico City policy" and unleashing millions of federal dollars to international abortion groups. Of course, it was no accident that the new president postponed the act until the last possible minute on Friday, knowing the repeal would be buried in the weekend headlines. Issuing it now means that even the presidential blackberry will get more media coverage than his international abortion bailout. It seems that he is more concerned with pleasing the abortion industry than taking steps to keep American dollars at home where they are needed. Well I guess America got the president they wanted. How ironic that the blog lady I mentioned has her baby dressed in an Obama onsie while he takes steps to insure that other babies aren't even born.
