It all started with the baby....5:30am, throwing up. Ugh! But it wasn't too bad. I hoped that would be the end of it. Not to be.
Fast forward a couple of days. About 1pm B#8 says he doesn't feel too good. About 1:30 mom thinks, "hmmm, I don't feel too good". Not long after dad sends a text from work, "Anyone else feeling bad?". After that they start dropping like flies, one after another. Within 4 hours 9 out of the 11 of us were sick, the baby having already been sick. Only B#3 seemed to be escaping. We all fought for bathrooms while she proceeded to sauté her dinner in coconut oil...Ugh! We were praising the Lord that she was well. She cleaned up more throw-up than she ever has. Practice, I tell her, for being a Paramedic. But even she, eventually, fell to it later in the night.
Ten people sick with 3 bathrooms. There were times when it was comical in its own way. Two of the boys were throwing up into the same potty at the same time! One of the kids got tired of waiting and went outside.
But today, the sun is up. We are all mostly better, tired, but better. Eating the comfort foods of sickness...saltine crackers, 7-up and jello.
Oh and Praise the Lord for Zofran!
