B#2 decided today to try her hand at making homemade pretzels. Boy are they yummy. I think we could just skip the stir-fry that is for dinner and just eat pretzels and cheese:)

An attempt at putting on a video
It seems like I have posted a video before but I can't remember so I am going to attempt to put one on here without the assistance of any of my children...here it goes
Okay, well that took me all night but here is B#7 showing you his "fishies" and his "butterflies". But he started being shy before we could get him to sing his favorite song from "The Sound of Music".
Movin' Up
Well now that B#1 is so busy with college, the fire department and the Sheriff's Office, we have had to move B#5 up in to bigger responsibilities around here. He has now become our fire starter...in a good way. He gets up in the mornings when dad is at work and gets our fire in the woodstove started. What a big help that is to me! Now if I could just get him to take over the trash as willingly:)
B#7 loves to help bring wood in with his big brother. Such a big helper, now if we could just get him to give up the "binky"...

B# 6's birthday
B#6 recently celebrated her 8th birthday. For something different mom decided to take her out for a mom/daughter day. We started by going for a haircut followed by some shopping. While we were out the other children and dad got everything all set up for a nice tea party when we got home. Instead of a cake this year we put her candles in the tea time treats.

Snow Day
You may have already seen the pictures and read about our snow day on my daughters' blog, but just in case, I thought I would post some pics. We had our first snow day here this past week. It kind of surprised alot of people, I think. DH and I were doing some shopping when it started and it continued for a good while. Driving home wasn't too bad but we did have one incident where we topped a hill and looking down we saw two vehicles nose to nose blocking the road. DH started braking very soon after seeing them but we quickly realized that we weren't stopping but sliding directly toward them. After honking continuously for a bit one of the drivers realized that we weren't just rudely honking for them to move their cars, we were honking to get their bodies out of the path of our sliding car. They did finally move and praise the Lord we were able to stop before hitting anything. It was much nicer to get home to a warm house with the kiddos and stay put and just enjoy the beauty while it lasted, which wasn't long.
